Dr. Loucks has taught courses at the traditional undergraduate (BBA), New College, and graduate (MBA, MSPM, and MSEM) levels during his 20-plus years at St. Edward's. His courses tend to be quantitatively oriented focusing on statistics, operations management, and project management.
In addition to teaching 20-plus different courses, Dr. Loucks has served as a graduate program (MSPM) director and a department (Operations) chair in The Bill Munday School of Business. He has developed ancillary material (study guides, test banks, and lecture slide sets) for a dozen textbooks. His prior teaching positions were at Bowling Green State University, Indiana University, and Indiana/Purdue University in Indianapolis. He has full-time industry experience in railroading, banking, and manufacturing, and has been a trainer or consultant for a variety of public and private organizations.

Why I Teach
My satisfaction as a teacher comes from facilitating a great classroom discussion and interacting with students. Teaching provides me the opportunity to positively influence young adults by sharing my knowledge and experience. And at the same time, it challenges me to improve myself as a teacher and person.
